Mad Dash: Artists design football helmets for NBA teams

What do you do when you're an NFL fan and all of your friends are NBA fans? Create a viral sensation, of course. That's what James Politi did to pass the time this spring, coming up with a pretty cool concept: If NBA teams were NFL teams, what would their helmets look like? Politi's designs became a hit overnight, garnering nearly a million views on Imgur, and making the rounds on just about every social media platform available. These conceptual design projects always seem to do well (and there are plenty of examples), with Politi's project specifically reminding us how successful the soccer jerseys for NFL teams project was four years ago. We're not sure why these sorts of ideas are always so interesting, but we'll never get tired of them.

The New York Rangers and Washington Capitals are set to meet in the playoffs for the first time since 2009, and the Rangers social media team is clearly ready. The wizards at the keyboards of the team's Twitter account have conspicuously stopped capitalizing their tweets, a subtle shot that is more cutesy than threatening, but hey, every little bit helps in the playoffs, right?

Chelsea were accused of being a boring team after their 0-0 draw with Arsenal over the weekend, but the soon-to-be champions of the Barclay's Premier League had a response for the critics. Forward Didier Drogba posted a video to his Instagram account of a team trick shot in the club dining room that shows they've at least got some personality and creativity (even if it doesn't always show during matches).
