Mad Dash: Arkansas jokingly launches Heisman campaign for lineman

When Arkansas Razorbacks offensive lineman Sebastian Tretola threw a touchdown pass against UAB, it was a high water mark for the scoring accomplishments of the men in the trenches. But the fun hasn't stopped there for Tretola or his football team, as the Razorbacks jokingly released a Heisman campaign video on Tretola's behalf. It's too bad they're joking, because as uninteresting as the Heisman debates have become over the years, it would be fun to seriously push for a player like this just to shake things up. On the other hand, if Tretola keeps scoring, he'll give the voters no choice. We're look at you, Bret Bielema. Make it happen.

On the less pleasant side of football plays, we give you this blunder from the final moments of a Utah high school game with a playoff berth on the line for both teams. With his team up 14-11 on fourth down with just 3.7 seconds left in the game, Spanish Fork Dons quarterback Jason Money just needed to run the clock out and keep the ball to win. Instead, he ran the clock out, and apparently assumed he didn't need to be down to complete the play once time expired. That was wrong, and Maple Mountain's Brandon Beebe stripped the ball and ran it in to earn that playoff ticket. We mostly just feel bad for Money, who did everything right except hit the ground.
