Mad Dash: Angels and their fans will try to set selfie sticks record

Ballpark promotions are meant to get attention, so we know we're not helping our cause with the following story, but we have to tell you that the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have a new promotion coming up this season, and we're sorry, but it's awful. Fans will be invited on May 6 to help set the Guinness record for the largest gathering of people using selfie sticks, and we can't even pretend to be amused because selfie sticks are the worst. The only thing goofier than one person using a selfie stick is 45,000 people using them. Throw in the fact the Angels are introducing that many more selfie sticks into the world, and this idea is just bad. Now that we've made our objections clear, go have your fun, and never do it again, please.

Phoenix Suns rookie Devin Booker was probably expecting some form of prank as part of his initiation this season, and he definitely got it. Check out the pile of packing peanuts that Suns veterans dumped into Booker's car. No matter which angle you see it from, it's clear this wasn't a job done at 50-percent. But to his credit, Booker seemed to handle it all pretty well.

Panthers tight end Greg Olsen had a pretty impressive beard going this postseason, but with his team's loss in the Super Bowl, he decided it was time to chop it off. Luckily for the rest of us, he did it in an amusing eight-photo series on Twitter that ended with an adorable kiss from his daughter. We guess this means football season is officially over.
