Mad Dash: Alabama commit nails 73-yard field goal

Take note young kickers across the country with dreams of playing at a premier college program like Alabama: You're going to have to put together an impressive resume. ASA College kicker Eddy Pineiro is Tuscaloosa-bound, and a viral video from the weekend reveals one big reason why Nick Saban wants him. Pineiro posted his attempt at a 73-yard field goal, which he thumped through the uprights like it was no big deal. We're programmed to expect people to freak out when their athletic feats are caught on camera, but Pineiro just walks off like it's nothing. A huge leg and an unimpressed demeanor? It's no wonder Saban, the king of stone faces, wants this guy on his team.

By now, you know that Giants receiver Odell Beckham, Jr., is not only incredible at catching footballs, but also can kick them better than the average guy, and was actually a pretty good soccer player years ago. Now comes videos from teammates Steve Weatherford and Prince Amukamara of Beckham pitching that show the former LSU Tiger also has a cannon for an arm. At this point, we just need to see Beckham on a pair of hockey skates to confirm he's the most versatile American athlete in professional sports.

Mets pitcher Steven Matz put together an incredible MLB debut, but it also allowed a few old videos of Matz's hidden talent to resurface. It turns out Matz is incredibly gifted when it comes to spinning things on his finger. His old teammate T.J. Chism has a few Vines of Matz spinning many household items with ease. We have no idea how this will come in handy on the baseball diamond, but we're at least convinced Matz has the necessary flair to be successful in the big leagues.
