Mad Dash: 8-year-old hits incredible no-look basketball shot

If you're looking for big-time basketball shots, March is the month to find them. The NCAA tournament usually has incredible moments in spades, but the best shot we've seen this month actually came from a much smaller player in a much smaller gym than the ones we've been watching the last two weeks. With his team up 18-11, there was no urgency for 8-year-old Tyrik Petway to fire off a shot as time expired. He shot anyway, and with dramatic flair, chucking a no-look overhead three that went in as the buzzer sounded. The outcome didn't change, but his cool moment of magic earned a court storming anyway, as well as a few minutes of fame on the web. Who knows, maybe we'll still be talking about Petway this time of year about a decade from now.

As a No. 6 seed, Xavier needed all the motivation it could get to knock off No. 2 seed Arizona on Thursday. The Musketeers' Twitter account suggested the team turned to DMX's 'X Gon' Give It To Ya' in the moments leading up to the showdown. Unfortunately, the magical powers of DMX did not pay off in a 68-60 loss to the Wildcats. Bonus points for creativity, though. (Sorry, our arbitrary bonus points have no retroactive bearing on the final score of that game.)

If you're an avid bobblehead collector, the Triple-A Round Rock Express have a once-in-a-lifetime offer for you. The Rangers' farm team will have a Willie Nelson bobblehead this June, the first-ever officially sanctioned by Willie himself. It comes with him rocking his signature bandana, braids and guitar. Road trip, anyone?
