Former running back Curtis Martin joined Chris Mannix on The Crossover to discuss the NFL's $765 million settlement with former players after their concussion-related lawsuit. Martin, who played in the league for 10 years and is not a member of the 4,500 players who sued the NFL, says that the settlement is a step in the right direction toward the league fully protecting it's players. But he did make clear that he sees no way to completely rid the NFL of traumatic head injuries.
"I think that type of contact is inherent with the sport," says the Hall of Famer. "I don't know how you get around it. You have some of the biggest, strongest, fastest athletes colliding."
