Greg Norman 'lucky' not to sever hand with chainsaw

Greg Norman posted on social media Saturday night that he nearly severed his left hand in a chainsaw accident.

In a caption on an Instagram post, he wrote: “Working with a chainsaw ALWAYS be respectful of the unexpected. I was one lucky man today. Damaged, but not down & out. Still have left hand.”

Golf Channel insider Tim Rosaforte reported that Norman, 59, had undergone surgery to repair nerve damage and sustained no damage to his arteries or tendons.

On Sunday morning, Norman posted that he was “all well” the day after the accident and thanked fans for the support and well wishes.

Last week, Norman posted a picture of himself trimming a small tree, with the caption: “Time to trim the sea grapes today. Never ask someone to do something that you can do yourself. Love to work!”
