Dustin Johnson eyeing Torrey Pines as potential return to PGA Tour

Dustin Johnson is still keeping quiet - not even TaylorMade's CEO has heard from him - but he's apparently hard at work.

Golf Channel's Tim Rosaforte reported Monday that Johnson is eyeing a potential return to the PGA Tour at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines in February.

Johnson's fiancé, Paulina Gretzky, is pregnant with the couple's first child and due to give birth in January. With regard to a specific return date, Johnson's agent, David Winkle, said nothing is definitive and that it's all "baby-dependent."

Johnson has, of course, been away from golf since announcing a leave of absence during the summer to overcome some "personal challeges," which Golf.com reported was a six-month, Tour-imposed suspension for a third failed drug test.

As for what Johnson is up to now, Rosaforte reported: "From all accounts down in South Florida, the Dustin Johnson that is showing up for workouts with Joey Diovisalvi and at the range at the Floridian with Claude Harmon is much different than when we last saw him. Forty workouts with Diovisalvi, including 30-mile bike rides, two-a-days. Diovisalvi said he's more dialed in than he has ever seen him and Claude said his sessions at the Flordian are much more focused.

"He's showing up, he's on time, he's not cancelling out, he's definitely engaged. [Harmon] describes him as very healthy, happy and light-hearted."
