    • Robert Griffin III has finally acknowledged he should have exited the Redskins’ playoff game that resulted in him tearing his ACL. Mike Florio says, besides Mike Shanahan, RGIII is the last person in America to come to this realization. Hindsight is 20/20, but Florio says it’s time for Shanahan to admit his mistake as well. “The lesson to be learned going forward: You have to be willing to put the health of your player before any desire to win a game.”

    • Faceoff: Can Blues maintain physical style?

The St. Louis Blues were clearly determined to exact some revenge on the Los Angeles Kings, after the Kings ended the Blues Stanley Cup hopes last year. The Blues played with an extremely physical style in the first game of the series. Even though the Blues were able to win in overtime, Keith Jones believes the Kings will answer back.

    • Horse name or album title?

Dave Briggs, Chris Mannix and Ben Lyons try to decipher horse names from album titles. It isn't quite as easy as it sounds, unless you listened to John Mellencamp in the 80s.

    • The Hype: Redtails or Redskins?

Washington D.C. council member David Grosso thinks the Redskins name is offensive and that the team should change its name to the Redtails. While Chris Mannix isn't offended by the name, he doesn't care if the team changes its name and doesn't think fans will care either. Dave Briggs says that with millions and millions of dollars in merchandise already out, it wouldn't be an easy switch.

    • One thing to know: Blackmon costs himself some money

Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon has been suspended for the first four games of the 2013 regular season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. In addition to missed game checks, Blackmon will be missing out on some guaranteed money due to protections the Jaguars put in his contract. Tyrann Mathieu is facing similar contract questions with the Cardinals not wanting to give him any guaranteed money. There is one key difference between Blackmon and Mathieu though - the Cardinals knew what they were getting into when they drafted the troubled Honey Badger, while Blackmon’s infractions came in the time after he was drafted but before he signed his contract.

    • The Hype: Lopez keeping Brooklyn relevant

The playoffs are heating up, but it’s not because of Nets’ Deron Williams or Joe Johnson. Brooklyn has fallen to a 3-2 series deficit against Chicago, and in the absence of Williams and Johnson, Brook Lopez has stepped up his game. Dave Briggs says give him the option, and he’ll take Lopez over Dwight Howard any day of the week. If Brooklyn can keep it rolling out of the first round, they’ll have their big man to thank.

    • One thing to know: Jason Collins has opened the door

Jason Collins has opened the door for other gay players to come out to the public, as the response to his announcement has been overwhelmingly positive. However, there are still some players out there who don’t quite understand how to handle the situation. A couple of tweets from Dolphins WR Mike Wallace suggest NFL locker rooms might not be ready to totally accept a gay player. Mike Florio believes it is just a matter of time before someone steps forward.

    • The Hype: ‘In crunch time, Howard is worthless’

Chris Mannix fills in for Michelle Beadle, and he discusses what's next for the Los Angeles Lakers. Assuming Dwight Howard returns, Kobe Bryant avoids being amnestied, and Mike D'Antoni comes back, Mannix believes someone has to go. It might be Pau Gasol, it might be Metta World Peace, but Dave Briggs isn't sold on D12's long-term value in L.A.

    • One thing to know: Tebow’s options continue to dwindle

The Jets have released Tim Tebow after one underwhelming season in New York. Taking a look at Tebow’s dwindling options, Mike Florio recommends New England as his next landing spot – if he agrees to step away from the quarterback position. If Tebow holds strong to his dream of playing under center, Canada may be his final option. The Montreal Alouettes hold his rights, and the organization has already expressed their interested in watching him compete for a roster spot.

    • The Hype: Morgan Freeman vs. Cody Rhodes?

Professional wrestler Cody Rhodes apparently wants to wrestle Academy Award winning actor Morgan Freeman. Not only does Rhodes want to wrestle Freeman, but he would also like Freeman to narrate the fight. Michelle Beadle isn’t sure if this is such a good idea.
