    • Word has spread that the two-year pact QB Kevin Kolb signed in Buffalo is only worth $6 million. Mike Florio says if Kolb is even with the team come September, his salary indicates it’ll likely be in a backup role. With Tarvaris Jackson still in the fold, Florio believes the Bills will use a draft pick on a QB, and demand Kolb and Jackson to duke it out for the backup spot.

    • The 4,100 former players with concussion-related lawsuits filed against the NFL will face their first major challenge, as the location of where the litigation will play out, will soon be determined. The former players would like to see the case be put in front of a jury where sympathy could play a role in the decision, while the NFL would like it to fall under the CBA, which means a single arbitrator would make a decision based strictly on the facts.

    • The Hype: Flacco portraying Unitas is ‘embarrassing’

The upcoming movie “Unitas We Stand” chronicles the life and death of former NFL QB Johnny Unitas, and who better to play the part of Johnny U than … Joe Flacco? While Michelle Beadle and Dave Briggs don’t understand why anyone would have a problem seeing Flacco portray Unitas, the Hall of Famer’s grandson is not happy, saying it’s an embarrassing choice.

    • The Hype: John Cena dubs himself ‘the better man’

WWE champion John Cena joins Michelle Beadle to recap WrestleMania 29 and explain why he and The Rock are now at peace with each other. Cena says his WrestleMania bout was all about who the better man was, and the belt strapped over his shoulder should accurately answer that question.

    • Jets CB Darrelle Revis will be participating in the team’s offseason workouts beginning on April 15, even though he’d prefer to stay in Arizona to rehab his ailing knee. Despite his desire to be traded, the cornerback has three million reasons to be present at Jets camp. Tim Tebow will also be in attendance, so how awkward could things really get for Revis?

    • Chargers QB Philip Rivers is apparently down to his last shot in San Diego, but at the same time, Cowboys QB Tony Romo just signed a huge contract extension. Basing his argument off career stats, Mike Florio doesn’t get the logic. Rivers is one of the Chargers’ few remaining franchise players, and it doesn’t seem likely they’ll cut the bait on the QB after the season.

    • The Hype: Who is to blame at Rutgers?

Heads have rolled at Rutgers University, after the video of former men’s basketball head coach Mike Rice surfaced earlier this week. Assistant coach Jimmy Martelli and athletic director Tim Pernetti have resigned. Michelle Beadle and Dave Briggs believe Pernetti should have fought to get Rice fired immediately after he witnessed the footage, but ultimately this issue falls on the university’s president, Robert Barchi.

    • Position statement: Why was Ayanbadejo released?

Brendon Ayanbadejo made a name for himself by taking a stance on the issue of a homosexual player in the NFL. Even though his comments on the issue were positive, it pushed Ayanbadejo into the spotlight, however teams don’t want their unknown players speaking out on issues because it creates a perception that the entire organization becomes associated with.

    • The San Francisco 49ers have started locking up their young talent. OT Anthony Davis signed a five-year extension worth $37.3 million. According to Mike Florio, the key is to try and decide which young players are necessary in order to remain successful. Two big names that are next on the list are LB Aldon Smith and QB Colin Kaepernick. Expect those two to be asking for big time contracts, immediately after this season.

    • The Hype: Can the NFL improve the stadium experience?

It’s no secret the NFL has had a problem recently with getting fans to get off of their couch and into stadiums on Sunday afternoons in the fall. In an attempt to change the dynamic, and generate more revenue, the NFL is going to add stadium specific features to every game this season. One of those features is going to be the locker room camera, which will show the live crowd footage from the home team’s locker room. Michelle Beadle and Dave Briggs question this decision and offer their opinions on how to improve the stadium experience.
