We've covered this ground before, but in case you'd forgotten, Milwaukee Bucks rookie forward Giannis Antetokounmpo has freakishly large hands. How large? Large enough to create a wardrobe malfunction during an NBA Cares Day of Service event at All-Star Weekend on Friday:
I guess they don't make 9.85-inch work gloves. Those must be the extra, extra, extra larges that you have to special order.
The Bucks' 19-year-old rookie, who is in New Orleans for All-Star Weekend to participate in both Friday's BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge and the Taco Bell Skills Challenge on Saturday, also spent at least some of his Valentine's Day recalling his love-at-first-sip introduction to smoothies during a brief chat with Sean Highkin of For the Win: “My friend and I went to a shopping center. He asked me if I’d ever tried a smoothie, and I said no. So he passed me a smoothie, and I just took the first sip and it was wonderful.”
Antetokounmpo also addressed the opportunity to play inside a building that is now literally named after the thing he loves so much:
A: “Does it have smoothies inside?”
Q: I would assume so.
A: “Then it’s wonderful.”
It sure is, Giannis. It sure is.
