New York Knicks big man Amar’e Stoudmire entered Saturday night’s game against the Washington Wizards shooting 39 percent from the field, averaging just 3.6 points per game in seven contests. Stuck on a minutes restriction, Stoudemire has had a frustrating year while dealing with ongoing knee issues, as his play, defensive work, and turnover woes have been part of the problem as New York struggles to right its ship.
It didn’t right that ship on Saturday, losing to Washington by nine points to fall to 3-9. Stoudemire, though, made all five of his shots from the field on his way to season-high 12 points, and don’t think the Knicks weren’t ready to pounce on that silver lining. From the team’s Facebook page.
We don’t mean to make light of the Knicks. Outside of the team’s offensively daft owner, we appreciate the players on this team, the coaching staff, and the franchise’s fans. More specifically, the team’s promotional crew is top-notch, and we respect the heck out of Amar’e Stoudemire – for years he was one of our favorite players, and he’s one that has worked his tail off in attempting to overcome these knee issues.
Still, does Facebook have a “Meh” button?
