Yao Ming discusses Jeremy Lin as eloquently as you’d expect

In case you were wondering, the answer is "Yes. Yao Ming is still the best."

From Fran Blinebury's profile on Yao from NBA.com:

"What I see from Jeremy and what I hear in his interviews is he appreciates everything. He pursues his dream. His attitude is so peaceful, but there is strength to him. It is not a violent strength like fire or something aggressive. It is like the ocean, very peaceful, very quiet when you look at it. But you can never underestimate the power that is in there."

LOL, i agree, his articles are way too long I usually just skip to the part in gray where he sites something of value, the rest is just his bantering away, he probably rights all that garble while being half asleep

I THINK THE J. LIN STORY IS GREAT FOR THE NBA, BETTER THAN ANOTHER SHOOTING AT A STRIP CLUB, OR CHEATING ON ONES WIFE.

Jeremy may be of Asian descent, but he's someone we can all appreciate. And Yao couldn't have summed up Lin's character. It's going to be interesting to see how Melo fits into this game plan. This is one Lakers fan, who is caught up in this Linsanity.

Gotta give it to these guys...both very well mannered and seem truly thankful for the blessings they've been given. Our athletes should take notes. I love the way Yao talks...It's like I'm watching Kill Bill. ha ha

ESPN pulls insensitive headline as Yahoo news posts 20 articles touting same insensitive headline. I guess that's Yahoo news, don't look at me, i didn't say it, i just repeated it 100,000 times.

perhaps instead of using this quote to show difference between races, we should instead think about the difference in education between China and the US. Because that's why the Chinese will eat us alive: we ruined education in this country, and, predictably, we've become a bunch of maroons, a bunch of ignoramuses.

Yao Ming is also one of the most successful people in a country totaling more than a billion. He's the exception, not the rule. Most Chinese CANNOT speak English at all, let alone this eloquently.

        umm... lin is american

When I spent time in China I heard more people speaking proper english than when I lived in the south for a year...

That, my friends, I do believe, is exactly the way Confusius would have put it.. This most eloquent rendition by Yao is exactly why this country needs to get back to basics and realize that just because you don't see anyone in front of you during a race, does not mean your winning. It simply means that you are so far back in the pack, that you cannot see who is leading. Good news is this, it wont be long before it will be more expensive to have goods made in China than here in America. You can take it to the bank..

Why is he being compared to Yao Ming? Different positions played, one was born in America and the other in China, this along demonstrates differences!
