Video: A tribute to Mike Bibby's Wizards career

Every year, veteran players and traded from playoff teams to doormats and almost immediately bought out. Last week, that list included Mike Bibby(notes), at one time the point guard on Kings teams that came within a few foul calls of making the NBA Finals. But after being traded from the Hawks to the Wizards for Kirk Hinrich(notes), Bibby had to wait a few days before agreeing to the terms of his honorable discharge.

While waiting, he had the good fortune of suiting up for Washington against Miami and Dallas on Friday and Saturday, respectively. Even though, he only played 29 total minutes for two points (1-of-9 from the field), eight assists, and one turnover, he obviously left an impression on Wizards fans. If you don't believe me just take a look at the video remembrance above, courtesy of CSN Washington. It may only feature one highlight, but those smiles will stay in our hearts forever.

One word of advice to the CSN anchors for the future: don't make snide remarks over a touching tribute video like this one. The emotion -- or, if you want to be mean, the humor of hyperbole -- can't get through when your voices are in the way.
