It's been a while since we've been able to see Knicks guard Baron Davis and J.R. Smith play meaningful NBA minutes. Davis has played just 52 minutes since April 11 of last year due to recurring back injuries, and Smith spent the lockout and a good portion of the NBA season playing overseas (to some acclaim) in China. So to see that Baron can still toss the lob when he wants, and that Smith can throw it down? Welcome back, vagabonds:
Of course, we never doubted Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Ricky Rubio's dishing acumen, especially when it comes time to make veteran (read: statuesque) Lakers guard Derek Fisher look a little silly with a dime:
Just tell him that you played with Jerome Kersey, Derek. That should give the kid pause long enough for you to close those gates.
