Video: Blake Griffin ends his rookie season with a bang

Thirty-one points on 13-for-21 shooting, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, a steal, a block and a thunderous alley-oop in 40 minutes of work. That'll do, Blake Griffin. That'll do.

Griffin's second career triple-double — the first came last month in a win over the Washington Wizards — helped his Los Angeles Clippers earn a 110-103 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. Sure, there's an asterisk on the Clips' season-ending 32nd triumph, as the playoff-bound Grizz rested Zach Randolph, Mike Conley and Tony Allen ahead of their first-round Western Conference playoff series against the San Antonio Spurs. But Griffin's performance at least gave the Staples Center crowd one more thrilling experience, sending them into the offseason with a victory and a smile, two quantities that have long been in short supply in Clipperland.

Blake's year-end line: 22.5 points, 12.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 38 minutes per game, 50.6 percent shooting from the field, a Player Efficiency Rating of 21.9, fifth in the league in minutes played and fourth in rebounds per game.

And, most important of all, a year removed from a broken left kneecap? Eighty-two games played, moments of which we'll all remember for as long as we have memories.

It was a pleasure to watch, Blake. Now go take it easy for a bit. (Then work on your stroke from the line and from 10-to-15 feet a bit, then take it easy some more.) We can't hardly wait to see you again. Here's hoping it's this coming fall.

International readers ("Int'l read'rs"): If the clip above isn't rocking for you, please feel free to peruse Blake's big season-ender elsewhere, thanks to our friends at the National Basketball Association.
