A look around the league and the Web that covers it. It's also important to note that the rotation order and starting nods aren't always listed in order of importance. That's for you, dear reader, to figure out.

C: Bleacher Report. Fred Katz on the difficult-to-pin-down and perhaps impossible-to-replicate career of Los Angeles Clippers sixth man Jamal Crawford: "Crawford has gone from point guard to ball hog to gunner to losing player to scorer to good-stats-on-a-bad-team guy to instant-offense spark plug to essential piece on a title contender."

PF: New York Post. "The parent companies of the LA Dodgers and the Brooklyn Nets will not be getting hitched after all, the Post has learned."

SF: The New York Times. Scott Cacciola goes to the third annual "Shaq Summit" to learn the ins and outs of the business of being Shaquille O'Neal, who "earned more than $21 million last year through his many business partnerships and his TV work" and who continues to look for every opportunity for "synergy" to "maximize" and "activate" his "brand."

SG: ESPN.com. Nik Stauskas was "very surprised" that people were taken aback by him saying he expects opponents to attack him because he's a rookie and he's white: "I wasn't trying to get anyone to feel sorry for me. I wasn't trying to be controversial or anything like that. I was just trying to keep it real."

PG: The Cauldron. Jonathan Tjarks on why we keep hating on Dwight Howard, why we shouldn't, and why it wouldn't surprise him at all if the Houston Rockets centerpiece has a monster season.

6th: Northeast Ohio Media Group. So why'd Dion Waiters get involved in that "best backcourt in the NBA" thing? "Everything was too quiet so I had to stir up something with Washington. People have been missing the action so I had to stir up something."

7th: The Sports Fan Journal. Justin Tinsley goes long on Wilt Chamberlain's legendary career and inescapable legacy, 15 years after his death: "The trick to never dying is to leave something behind that lives forever."

8th: VICE Sports. Jorge Arangure suggests pumping the brakes on talk of a prolonged work stoppage come 2017: "Ultimately the biggest question surrounding the NBA labor discussion becomes why either side want to jeopardize a financial windfall during such a profitable time for both sides?"

9th: CSN Bay Area. In reporting that the Golden State Warriors and Klay Thompson remain several million dollars per year apart in contract talks, Monte Poole asks a reasonable question: "How can the Warriors be willing to give [Kevin] Love a max deal, as they would have had to, yet be unwilling to offer anything close to max to the guy they kept instead?"

10th: Complex. Damian Lillard's "4 Bar Friday" rhymes stitched together and laid over an electro beat by Portland trio Hustle and Drone. Pretty neat.
