The 10-man rotation, starring James Harden, a.k.a. Patch Thief Adams

A look around the league and the Web that covers it. It's also important to note that the rotation order and starting nods aren't always listed in order of importance. That's for you, dear reader, to figure out.

C: The Starters. "Wow, I never knew James Harden led the league in rebounding. We can learn so much from All-Star Game uniforms. ... Hey, wait a minute."

PF: Mavs Moneyball. Andrew Tobolowsky on catching a Dallas Mavericks road game that crystallized why he enjoys rooting for a Dirk Nowitzki-led squad, even if it's never again going to be quite like it was: "The team is not great. But it's good. And it's still beautiful basketball, centered around a beautiful basketball player. For as long as it lasts."

SF: D.C. Sports Bog. Dan Steinberg chats with the man who helped John Wall win "Dunker of the Night" — Washington Wizards mascot G-Man, a.k.a. Wiz mascot coordinator Aidan Charlery.

SG: Canis Hoopus. The preamble's quite lengthy and there are a couple of points where you might find yourself scratching your head (I think Steve Novak gets described as a 3-and-D guy at one point), but this is a thorough and really interesting consideration of both how to build a consistently excellent roster and why the Minnesota Timberwolves' biggest problem might be less about insufficient talent than about that talent being incompatible in specific and important ways.

PG: PETA. Ty Lawson, like noted Birdman and former Denver Nuggets teammate Chris Andersen, shows off his tattoos in support of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals' ongoing "Ink, Not Mink" campaign.

6th: WarriorsWorld. Reports out of the Bay suggest that the Golden State Warriors will only move sophomore swingman Harrison Barnes, who has disappointed in Year 2, in a "blockbuster" that clearly and significantly improves this year's team, and Jasper Scherer thinks that's a pretty reasonable take.

7th: Fear the Sword. Luol Deng only just got to Ohio, but with the trade deadline looming, it's possible that the Cleveland Cavaliers could look to move the soon-to-be free-agent. Conrad Kaczmarek considers the arguments for and against shipping out the small forward.

8th: Red94. When someone asks me who the MBP is, I respond with the obvious answer: Jermaine Dupri. He makes his own rules, to the degree that you could call him the mayor, if you would like." But what, pray tell, if the B stood not for "Ballin'est," but for "Ball-stoppin'est?" Well, in that scenario, I'd need to review Richard Li's research on which players have the ball the most, hold onto it the longest and seem most reluctant to pass it. Fun with charts!

9th: Posting and Toasting. Mike Woodson isn't going to sit here, and Seth Rosenthal isn't going to stop noticing when Mike Woodson says the same thing over and over again.

10th: Beyond the Arc. Kevin Lipe does a lovely job of parsing ex-Memphis Grizzlies head coach Lionel Hollins' recent television interview about the end of his time with the Grizzlies, which doesn't seem like it does Lionel Hollins very many favors, and finishes with four paragraphs about why fans need to be able to let go of the past in order to be able to cope with the present and hope for the future.
