The 10-man rotation, starring Bruno Caboclo and what dreams are made of

A look around the league and the Web that covers it. It's also important to note that the rotation order and starting nods aren't always listed in order of importance. That's for you, dear reader, to figure out.

C: Pattern of Basketball. Jonathan Tjarks watched some Summer League play and came away feeling like he understands what Toronto Raptors general manager Masai Ujiri was thinking in drafting Brazilian prokect Bruno Caboclo: "In terms of length, speed and athleticism, Bruno is as impressive as anyone whose come into the league in the last few years." (Another good read on Caboclo from Michael Pina at Sports on Earth: "[Toronto] doesn't know exactly what they have, just that he can be special, and they treat him that way.")

PF: Bullets Forever. Amin Vafa just watched the Washington Wizards — sorry, the fresh-off-the-second-round-of-the-playoffs Washington Wizards — add a valuable veteran small forward and a bunch of frontcourt depth, do it on the cheap and do it without compromising future flexibility. Basically, he's wondering what they've done with the real Washington Wizards.

SF: Beyond the Arc. The Memphis Grizzlies have quietly had quite a nice offseason, adding depth and small upgrades to a roster that, when Marc Gasol was in the lineup, was one of the very best in the Western Conference last year. But as Kevin Lipe looks at the depth chart, he can't help but wonder: what on Earth is Dave Joerger (or the team's still-being-reshuffled front office) going to do with all those wings?

SG: VICE Sports. Robert Silverman on how discussions of Carmelo Anthony pretty much always — and certainly now, in the aftermath of his new nine-figure deal — focus on what he isn't, and hardly ever take very much time to focus on (and celebrate) what he is.

PG: The Triangle. Zach Lowe sits down with David Blatt to find out what it's like to learn that you're going to be coaching LeBron James ("Three or four days ago the world changed"), the defensive principles he'll seek to emphasize with the Cleveland Cavaliers, what he's expecting from Anthony Bennett and Dion Waiters, and more.

6th: CelticsBlog. Jeff Clark still doesn't understand why people think the Boston Celtics have to trade Rajon Rondo.

7th: Sports on Earth. A good read from Howard Megdal on the steady progression of the D-League, getting closer and closer to becoming an honest-to-goodness minor-league development system for the NBA, and to becoming a legitimate alternative for the NCAA for top prospects who might prefer bypassing the NBA draft's age minimum.

8th: SB Nation. Paul Flannery takes the temperature of the East post-LeBron-to-Cavs, Lance-to-Charlotte and Bosh-and-Wade-staying-in-Miami, aiming to figure out which end is up in what ought to be a much more interesting conference.

9th: At the Hive. Ben Swanson and Chris Barnewall on the aspect of signing Lance Stephenson that bothers some fans "on a personal level. It forces people to explore the moral and ethical values they probably turned a basketball game on to avoid."

10th: Nylon Calculus. Looking for any NBA player's shot charts/heat maps for any single season from 1996 through the present? Well, thanks to Austin Clemens, you need look no further.
