Ricky Rubio, to me, in February:

I mean, when I throw it through somebody else's legs, they're not ready for that. Sometimes you take a risk. But it's more fancy, and I like it.

Ricky Rubio, to Michael Carter-Williams, on Wednesday:

More like Team Whoops.

Don't feel too bad, rook. Going through the legs, whether an opponent's or his own, is kind of Rubio's thing. This is just his way of saying he likes (to come down on the fast break, see you defending and make an example out of) you.

Noted athlete Kevin Love finished Rubio's pass with a dunk, scored 19 points and grabbed six rebounds in the Minnesota Timberwolves' 125-102 preseason win over the Philadelphia 76ers. Rubio went 0 for 3 from the floor and scored just two points in 16 minutes, but did add five rebounds and five dimes. Carter-Williams scored 15 points (albeit on 5 for 15 shooting) to go with nine rebounds, five steals and three assists in 28 minutes in the loss.
