David Kahn's long, international nightmare appears to be over, as Ricky Rubio appears to be ready to bring his pass-first, shoot-accurately-later game to Minnesota. Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reported the news on Wednesday night:

Rubio reached a deal on Tuesday, sources said.

Rubio, the fifth pick in the 2009 NBA draft, has been playing for Regal Barcelona of the Spanish ACB League for the past two seasons. It's likely that the deal won't be announced until Rubio, 20, finishes his season in the Euroleague playoffs later this month.

Minnesota Timberwolves' All-Star and frequent smartphone user Kevin Love appeared to be initially dubious about the potential transaction. Here's what he tweeted soon after:

Goofiness aside, Love went on to tweet things like "Just thinking about pick and rolls …" soon after, no doubt in reference to Rubio's brilliant passing ability, but I still like the idea of Kevin Love, Internet Cynic, even if that assumption doesn't exist in reality.

And if that assumption is correct, Kevin, what did you think of This Guy Has My Macbook?
