There are Real Big Things happening in the NBA, and more coming down the pike very shortly. Our attention will quite understandably be focused on them, as well it should. But if you'll permit a brief foray into counter-programming, here, via Scott Johnson of The Score, is a pretty sensational GIF of Golden State Warriors flamethrower Stephen Curry hitting five 3-pointers at the same damn time.
We've seen images like this before — you may recall one we published last summer capturing every shot LeBron James made in Game 7 of the 2013 NBA finals — and the more, the merrier. This one features all five long balls Steph splashed through during the first quarter of Sunday's Game 4 against the Los Angeles Clippers, which helped stake the Dubs to a 39-24 lead after 12 minutes that they never relinquished, leading by double-digits en route to a 118-97 blowout that evened up their best-of-seven first-round series at two games apiece.
Curry finished with 33 points on 10 for 20 shooting, including a 7 for 14 mark from long distance, to go with seven rebounds and seven assists in 42-plus minutes; with all the issues and distractions that Doc Rivers, Chris Paul and his Clippers team are facing off the court, it's worth remembering that when No. 30 in blue, white and gold gets going, L.A.'s got a pretty substantial problem to solve between the lines, too. Game 5 is set to tip off at Staples Center at 10:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday night.
Hat-tip to r/NBA.
