It’s fair to say Harrison Barnes is not having a great year. His production has dipped in his second season, as he’s struggled to find a scoring role off the Golden State Warriors' bench. He’s making just 39 percent of his shots, rarely getting to the line and failing to contribute in other areas. Even what should have been the highlight of his season – an appearance in the 2014 dunk contest – was shot all to hell by the NBA’s pointless rule changes surrounding the event.
With all that going for him, Harrison recently caught up with Pete Holmes of his eponymous show to discuss new ways to bring levity to the game of basketball. Namely, “Arnold Schwarzenegger Dunks.”
Take a look:
(There are curse words, though they’re bleeped out.)
Although this was likely filmed over the All-Star break, one would hope this could be the turnaround Harrison needs to salvage a tough sophomore campaign. There’s been quite a bit of Sturm und Drang surrounding the Warriors this season, so maybe all they need are some German shoes and a brighter outlook.
