After parting ways with Diamond-Waltrip Racing earlier in the week, Trevor Bayne has signed with Roush Fenway Racing for the rest of the season.

Bayne is in the No. 17 car this weekend for Roush, the team's fifth Nationwide car entered this weekend along with Colin Braun, Carl Edwards, Paul Menard and Ricky Stenhouse Jr.

And according to SceneDaily.com, Bayne is also being considered for that possible third car at Richard Petty Motorsports, pending sponsorship of course. (It's unclear which Nationwide car Bayne will drive after Kansas or if the fifth car will be fielded for the rest of the season)

While driving for Roush, Bayne could also end up in RPM’s No. 19 Sprint Cup car, pending sponsorship. With Elliott Sadler’s contract up at the end of this year, the team hopes to run the No. 19 at least at the start of the year because it will be locked into the first five races. AJ Allmendinger and Marcos Ambrose will drive full-time for RPM next year.

After engaging in a mini-Twitter war with Kenny Wallace, Brian Scott picked up a ride with RAB Racing for Saturday's race. John Wes Townley recently separated (again) from RAB Racing, who won the Montreal Nationwide race with Boris Said.
