Like banana and mayo sandwiches? You have something in common with Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Did Dale Earnhardt Jr. gross out most of the world last night with this revelatory tweet?

Shortly after he professed his love for the odd combination, Deadspin picked up on his tweet. Junior didn't mind that the post disagreed with his food tastes, but rather that the site wasn't sold it on the idea that he sent the tweet himself.

And anyway, don't we all have a disgusting-to-the-rest-of-the-world food combination that we love?

One of NASCAR's few Twitter holdouts, Junior joined Twitter after winning the Daytona 500 in February and has quickly become an engaging follow. He said he sent the tweet about the sandwiches while watching Project Runway with his girlfriend, Amy Reimann.

In case you were wondering, it wasn't a paid covert product placement for Hellman's, one of his sponsors.

Sponsor mentions are an indelible part of a NASCAR driver's twitter feed, and why wouldn't they be? They've become a fabric of verbal NASCAR dialogue, so it only makes sense that they're ingrained in social media too. However, Junior said he sent the tweet on his own and his team has denied all paid tweet requests.

Now we just need Junior to tweet a picture of himself eating a banana and mayo sandwich. We've got to put a cap on this one, right?
