Having connections is a wonderful thing. Let us introduce you to Robert Johnson III, the young man there at far right. (No, not the father of blues music. That's a different guy.) Johnson is surely a talented young driver on his own, but he happens to be the son of one Junior Johnson. (Yes, the NASCAR legend and Hall of Famer. That's the same guy.)

As a means of helping 17-year-old Robert achieve his racing dream, Johnson has created Junior Johnson Racing. The younger Johnson will run up to 30 races this year, primarily in the K&N Pro Series East.

The kid's no slouch; he was the UARA Rookie of the Year last year and finished fourth in the 2010 UARA late model series. He's also no dummy; he's eventually headed to Duke University.

In addition to the big dog, JJR Racing will have some additional experienced talent on hand. Keith Barnwell, who oversaw TriStar Motorsports' Nationwide team and spotted for Jamie McMurray in 2010, will serve as executive VP and general manager. The team has already bought Toyota stock cars from Red Bull, but hasn't yet formally aligned with any manufacturer.
