Jimmie Johnson went to the White House on Wednesday

Jimmie Johnson got to celebrate his sixth Sprint Cup Series championship at the White House on Wednesday.

He was honored by President Barack Obama in a quick six-minute ceremony. In his remarks, Obama, a noted Chicago sports fan, called Johnson the "Michael Jordan of NASCAR" and joked that he should give the driver of the No. 48 a lifetime pass to the White House because of the numerous titles.

The Michael Jordan comparison works on multiple levels too. Not only is Johnson the best driver in NASCAR as Jordan was the best player in the NBA, but both won six championships in eight seasons.

After also mentioning Johnson's charity work, Obama, crew chief Chad Knaus, car owner Rick Hendrick and Johnson's pit crew all took pictures on stage.
