Sunday might have been the end of Joey Logano's Chase chances.
Just over four laps into the Camping World RV Sales 301 at New Hampshire, Logano had a tire go down entering turn one and the car spun and hit the wall. Because of his position on the track, Logano turned around and drove the wrong way on pit road to his stall, where the crew serviced his car while he was facing the wrong way.
When the crew was done, Logano mashed the gas to spin the car the other way to get it turned in the right direction. However, when he did that, his crew members weren't clear of the car, and Logano hit one with the right rear corner and spoiler as he peeled around. Fortunately, the crew member was uninjured.
Before Daytona, Logano was in 10th in the points standings. Now, thanks to two straight tire issues and accidents, Logano is 19th in the standings, 36 points behind Kasey Kahne in 10th.
