For most of the last few days, 50 Cent has been hanging around Daytona, soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying the benefits of being a sponsor. His company, SMS Audio, is a Swan Racing sponsor, and he's been everywhere from pit road to the media center. And just before this year's race, he made an interesting, if not necessarily intriguing, offer to driver/Fox Sports commentator Michael Waltrip:
Last year, Cent got into trouble when he appeared to try to kiss Fox Sports' Erin Andrews live and on camera. This week, he admitted that, yes, indeed, that was his intention. "I wanted to kiss her, man," he said. "You really want to know? She handled it amazingly too. It was one ... it was just an awkward moment."
As a refresher, here's the video from last year of Mr. Cent looking for a little love from Ms. Andrews:
Although Waltrip has won the Daytona 500 twice, his last win came in 2003. 50 Cent may not have to pay up on his bet, but it'd be an interesting victory lane if he did.
