Two fighters were badly hurt recently and need our help. Jessica Bednark is reportedly out of her coma but has a long road to recovery from her injury sustained in training. Zach Kirk broke his neck fighting in Iowa last weekend.

Jose Canseco lost, quickly, in his MMA debut against 7'2" Hong Man Choi, while Joe Warren pulled an upset over Kid Yamamoto. Here is hoping that Canseco learned his lesson about MMA, namely, it's not to be taken lightly.

The top five legends of Karate -- how could they leave off Kung Fu Panda?

With Lyoto Machida keeping his unbeaten streak intact, ESPN takes a look at which elite fighter is unbeatable. Newsflash: even Fedor will lose one day.

Twinkle Toes is back! Frank Trigg inked a deal to return to the UFC.

Not long after he earned the title, Machida is looking forward to defending it. That first defense will not come against Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, as originally thought, but possibly Mauricio "Shogun" Rua.

Don't worry, Rampage won't stay on the shelf for long. He is going to coach "The Ultimate Fighter," season 10, against Rashad Evans, who will be his next opponent. It looks like there will be plenty of opportunities for black-on-black crime.

While we're talking Rampage, take a listen to his views on pick-up lines, making it rain, and Fedor.

Here is the sad, sad tale of Mike Swick, his doll action figure, and Jon Fitch's barbaric ways.

Much to my dismay, Chicago will not be visited by the UFC in 2009.

Andrei Arlovski is looking forward to his Strikeforce bout with Brett Rogers, not back at his brutal loss to Fedor Emelianenko.

Thanks for reading Cagewriter this week. Next week should be insane -- in a good way -- with Strikeforce on Saturday night and WEC 41 on Sunday.
