The list of fighters who want a piece of Bryan Caraway seems to grow by the day. The UFC bantamweight has become something of a smaller version of Michael Bisping, a guy all the other fighters want to beat up.
Somehow, Caraway has managed to infuriate a slew of fighters, topped by UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.
You can add another name to the list of those who want to fight Caraway, though this one comes with a story. Timmy Gorman, who is a cast member on the current season of "The Ultimate Fighter," has offered to fight Caraway for free.
The stipulation, which you'll see beginning at the 3:44 mark of Gorman's video blog above, is that the winner gets Miesha Tate as his girlfriend. Well, Tate, is coaching opposite Rousey on TUF and Caraway is her boyfriend.
Adding a little spice to it, Tate picked Gorman last among her eight choices, even though Gorman stopped Lee Sandmeier in the first round of their qualifying fight.
But when he was chosen so late, Gorman wasn't thrilled and let his feelings slip in an interview shown last week on TUF.
I got picked by Miesha Tate. Is that her name? Is Miesha Tate her name? I don't even know what her name is. So, really, I don't even care that she picked me last. I don't even know who she is.
That interview was done on the first day of taping, after Tate and Rousey chose their teams.
But several months have passed and Gorman posted a blog talking about his experience on the show. After he shows a clip from TUF of himself dissing Tate, the blog cuts back to Gorman in a parking lot. And there, he makes a proposal.
He'll fight Caraway and the winner gets Tate.
I didn't mean to come off like an [expletive], but I was asked a question about how I felt about Miesha Tate picking me last for her team and how I felt about it. And even though I won in dominating fashion, I was just giving the honest truth. I had never heard of her before and I didn't know who she was. I wasn't trying to be rude or sound like an [expletive] or anything.
In all honesty, I think Miesha Tate's a great girl. She's super nice, great person, really smiling, really positive energy in general. Obviously, she's a great looking girl. I would like to take her out on a date sometime.
And I guess the only thing holding me back from taking Miesha Tate out on a date is her boyfriend, Bryan Caraway. He fights in the UFC at 135, which happens to be my same weight class. I don't want any money. I'll fight for free.
Bryan Caraway, I want you. Your girlfriend's on the line in this fight, buddy.
So far, there has been no answer from Tate, but things don't look too good for Gorman.
Caraway tweeted a photo of Tate with her team. Gorman and then Tate herself responded. Judge for yourself if Gorman has a shot at his date by reading those tweets.
But Gorman comes off looking bad, or at least like not much of an MMA fan. Tate is far more accomplished professionally than he is. She was the former Strikeforce women's champion and will meet Rousey for the belt at UFC 168. She's also fought plenty of times on national television.
