Apparently, Spike still thinks that we are stupid. Though Saturday's UFC 95 event was shown on tape delay, the cable network used a graphic that said "Live from London." Why?
Spike pulled the same thing for UFC 89, and it still makes no sense. The American television audience isn't thrilled about watching a sporting event on tape delay, but we're also smart enough to understand time zones, and that a sporting event isn't likely to start at 3 a.m. in London. There is no good reason to add "live" to a broadcast when it just isn't true.
