The promotion has put together at least three MMA fights worth tuning in for. Bloody Elbow.com reported this morning that Ken Shamrock will be the next opponent for pro wrestler turned cagefighter Bobby Lashley.
Shamrock just beat a mountain of blubber named Ross Clifton last month and now takes on the 6-foot-3, 265-pound Lashley. There's plenty of intrigue. Can the much younger and bigger but inexperienced Lashley smash an MMA vet like Shamrock? There's a heavyweight matchup with Roy Nelson and Jeff Monson plus light heavyweights go at with Kimbo Slice-conqueror Seth Petruzelli facing former WEC champ Doug Marshall.
The event will be offered world wide on pay-per-view at $29.95 through In-Demand, Dish Network, DirectTV and on the Web through SecondsOut.com and MaxBoxing.com. Are the Lashley-Shamrock and Monson-Nelson fights worth 29 bucks? Possibly. You couldn't pay me $29 to waste an evening watching a Jones fight so maybe the MMA fights can save the card on PPV.
