Ronda Rousey mocks Floyd Mayweather after winning 'Best Fighter' ESPY

At the annual ESPY Awards on Wednesday in Los Angeles, female UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey won the Best Fighter award over male contemporaries in UFC fighter Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, and boxers Gennady Golovkin and Terrance Crawford.

Oh, and some guy named Floyd Mayweather, too.

“Money” famously once said about Rousey: “I have no idea who he is.” Well, after Rousey’s ESPY acceptance quip on the red carpet, you can best believe he knows exactly who Ms. Rousey is now.

"I can't help but really say that I wonder how Floyd [Mayweather] feels being beat by a woman for once," Rousey said. "I'd like to see you pretend to not know who I am now."

Mayweather's long history of domestic violence is well-documented – it includes six charges (domestic violence) and he served two months in jail in 2012.

So Rousey certainly didn’t hold back in addressing the 38-year-old boxing legend when she saw her opening.

Rousey is undefeated in her pro MMA career and is not accustomed to losing. In 2014, Rousey walked away with the Best Female Athlete award, but lost out on the Best Fighter award – to, you guessed it: Floyd Mayweather. Now, one year later, she finally has her revenge.

Big time.

Rousey’s next challenge comes Aug. 1 at UFC 190 against undefeated Brazilian Bethe Corriea in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
