The UFC shared more details about next week's debut on Fox. They promised that this broadcast will be different than UFC fans have ever watched before, which is not a surprise. Fox has broadcast tons of sporting events that have attracted hundreds of millions of viewers. The UFC is smart to use their expertise.

"This is going to be a different format than we've ever done before. Obviously this is a show featuring one fight so we're doing a lot of things differently. We are going to be rehearsing for this from Thursday," UFC president Dana White said during a media conference call.

But you may have spotted the downside. The Junior dos Santos vs. Cain Velasquez title bout will be the only fight shown, regardless of how long it lasts. That's quite a departure from the UFC's usual productions, which try to jampack as many fights as they can into a broadcast.

If Velasquez or dos Santos win by a knockout or submission, no other fight will be shown. Of Velasquez's nine wins, only one went to a decision. Dos Santos has only gone to the judges cards in 15 percent of his fights.

All of the undercard fights will be shown on Facebook. That includes Clay Guida vs. Ben Henderson, Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto vs. Darren Uyenoyama, Ricardo Lamas vs. Cub Swanson, and Clay Harvsion vs. DaMarques Johnson.
