What's buzzing:

With poor numbers on Showtime, is MMA programming in jeopardy?

Strikeforce has consistently delivered an above-average card on Showtime and CBS. The network television numbers have been solid between 2.2-5 million viewers, but when Strikeforce goes back to Showtime the numbers lag badly. When you're pulling in 300,000-600,000 viewers, how long can you survive paying fighters competitive salaries? The peak of 445,000 viewers for the Brett Rogers-Alistair Overeem card was still blown away by the numbers Spike and the UFC posted on Saturday as they replayed a bunch of recent fights. What's the deal? Where are the viewers? And more importantly is anyone new subscribing to Showtime because of its fight coverage?

Yahoo! Sports' Kevin Iole checks in to talk about Showtime's struggles and what Saturday's card did for the reputations of Rogers, Overeem and Fedor.
