We knew it couldn't last. The new "Mr. Nice Guy" Brock Lesnar we heard on last week's UFC 116 teleconference was like a scene out of the "Twilight Zone." Where did the old Brock go? The one so many fans love to hate? He never left and now you can simply use the UFC time machine otherwise known as "Countdown to UFC 116" and see that the same brash, cocky Brock is still here. The trash talk is top notch and he even revisits his verbal war with old rival Frank Mir (5:00 mark).
"Seventeen months of having to put up with constant berating," Lesnar said during the countdown show. During some postfight lockerroom footage he added, "Eight weeks of listening to that [expletive] mud flap go. I don't know what's more fun, beating the [expletive] out of him or talking [expletive] about him?"
Lesnar ripped Mir again Wednesday saying that he wasn't impressed by Shane Carwin's win over the former champ at UFC 111.
"No, not really," Lesnar said. "Mir shouldn't have even been fighting him really. You can't unscramble scrambled eggs. I scrambled his eggs six months before that."
Mir, who has been maniacal about his dislike of Lesnar, fired off this Tweet Thursday.
Mir, who fights anywhere from 243-265 pounds, was physically mauled by both Lesnar and Carwin. He was considering a drop to 205 pounds.
Lesnar also refuses to apologize for his antics in the cage following UFC 100.
"Whether you like it or not, this is real," said Lesnar. "And if you don't like it [Lesnar once again flashes double middle fingers]."
Lesnar understands why some fans hate him and he doesn't care.
"People just want to see me get my ass whupped," said Lesnar. "Don't be mad that I'm going to continue to win and continue to be the heavyweight champion."
