You submit a guy inside of 90 seconds but now people think that dude is unbeatable. That kind of talk about UFC heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar irks Frank Mir. Mir doesn't think Lesnar's victory over Randy Couture means much and wants another shot at the big guy:
"There were lot of things I thought Lesnar would do extremely well that he didn't do all that well," said Mir of the Lesnar fight against Couture. "I figured he'd be impossible to takedown. Well he grabbed the cage, that's why Randy didn't take him down. Then when he does take Randy down, here's the biggest guy he's ever had on top of him, and Randy gets up twice."
Mir says Lesnar will be good but he has little chance of adding to his arsenal:
"I doubt (submissions) ever will (be part of his game). It's going to be very difficult for him to ever get that. There's a lot to learn. He's going to have the same tools that he's always had. He's going to be bigger and stronger than everybody he's going to face, and he's going to outwrestle them."
This is Part 2 of Cage Writer's sitdown with the former UFC heavyweight champ.
Mir goes on to say that Lesnar may not even be the best prospect in the division. He says he may bet on Shane Carwin if he ever gets to fight Lesnar. And he's very high on Cain Velasquez.
He also discussed the MMA lifestyle and what truly drives him.
