In a quick submission, Jim Miller won the lightweight bout over Duane Ludwig with an armbar in 2:31 of the first round at UFC 108.
Miller (16-2-0) knocked Ludwig (19-10-0) to the ground early, where he quickly worked an armbar, forcing Ludwig to tap out. Ludwig took the fight on two weeks' notice, and Miller was grateful after the fight, thanking Ludwig.
"I had a lot of opponents for this fight, and that's my trick. I train to get better," Miller said. "There were a lot of crap talkers, saying [expletive] about this card. We're here to fight!"
Miller's only UFC loss was to Gray Maynard, and he is on a three-match winning streak. This was Ludwig's first fight back with the UFC after stints with Strikeforce and Ring of Fire.
