What you need to know before UFC 89
The UFC will invade Birmingham, England for UFC 89 this weekend. Though this event is without a championship fight, it is still an important event that has the MMA-blogworld buzzing. Take a look:
- MMA Rated noticed that the card is stocked with Brits, including Michael Bisping and Paul Kelly. That's quite shocking for an event in England.
- Cage Potato helps you figure out your betting plans for the weekend, if you're into that sort of thing.
- In an interview with Dana White, the Canadian Press finds that Brandon Vera is a changed man. Haven't we heard this before? At some point, Vera has to come through on his potential or find a new line of work.
- Five Ounces of Pain previewed the undercard. I'm looking forward to see if Sam Stout can win this win-or-get-cut fight. Much like Vera, he never seems to accomplish what his fans know that he is capable of.
- Yahoo's very own Kevin Iole spoke with Michael Bisping and found that Bisping is using this fight to see if he is ready to fight Anderson Silva.
