The Yeti of the mixed martial arts world finally re-appeared in Las Vegas at Kevin Randleman's wedding. Gina Carano, the biggest name in female mixed martial arts, was part of the big celebration at Lake Las Vegas. It appears that her "detoxing" is over. Carano told Cagewriter that she isolated herself after her final fight with EliteXC and when her work was done with NBC's American Gladiators. Her training home is Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas but she hasn't been there for months waiting out her contract issues with the now defunct Elite XC.
Carano (pictured at the wedding) mentioned that she had spoken with Zuffa about potentially fighting in WEC or even the UFC. Strikeforce's Scott Coker confidently smirked at that notion when he sat down with Cagewriter during the ESPNRadio1100 postfight show after Strikeforce 14. He said it's just like any other negotiation but suggested Carano is already locked into a contract. Carano's poor salary with EliteXC will be improved but there were still plenty of additional issues to work on. Coker called her a "training camp holdout" muck like an NFL wide receiver. Meanwhile Carano told MMA Fanhouse last week that she hadn't signed a contract yet and if she did, it'll likely be a two year deal with Strikeforce. She did say that if she was a free agent, she'd probably sign with one of the Zuffa promotions.
Carano attended the Randleman wedding with OnTheMat MMA apparel shop owner Scott Bieri.
