YOUR FRIENDS' ACTIVITY

This week's episode of "The Ultimate Fighter" involved some easygoing discussion between Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen, charades, and a star (?) of the silver screen. Here are the biggest moments.

Cool, laid-back moment between Sonnen and Jones. Though their trash talk has been a centerpiece of promoting their fight, Sonnen and Jones became two coaches at the training center. They may be adversaries, but anyone who has been around coaches recognized their words as just two coaches shooting the breeze. Later, Sonnen starts his shtick again, but it's just so fun to see him as a coach.

Charades. It turns out Chael Sonnen and his fighters are pretty good at charades. Who woulda thunk it?

Mickey Rourke! Because of Sonnen's asking -- or threats, depending on who is talking -- actor and former boxer Mickey Rourke talked to Team Sonnen. He spoke with the fighters about how to overcome adversity. If there's anyone who knows about that, it's Mickey Rourke.

That fight: The bout between Bubba McDaniel and Kelvin Gastelum turned into a really fun grapplefest in the first round. McDaniel and Gastelum changed positions several times, and both went for submissions. But it was Team Sonnen's Gastelum who walked away with the win after getting a tight rear naked choke on McDaniel in the second.

Better than a call from the president: Gastelum is a huge Ronda Rousey fan, and Sonnen set up a call between the victorious fighter and the UFC women's bantamweight champ. Not a bad day.

    • Movie about Bruce Lee’s most legendary fight is in the works

Shannon Lee poses with the figure of her father, Bruce Lee, at Madame Tussaud's (Getty Images)Bruce Lee obtained legendary status as a martial artist in part because of a 1965 fight in Oakland, Calif., against Chinese kung fu master Wong Jack Man. It was the last fight of Lee's career.

For nearly 50 years, there has been much speculation and heated debate about what occurred inside of that gym, as very few people witnessed it. But the upshot of the bout is that it helped to develop Lee's views on Jeet Kune Do, which is the forerunner of today's mixed martial arts.

On Tuesday, Deadline.com reported that a movie about the fight that will be called "Birth of the Dragon" will be produced by QED International and Groundswell Productions.

[Also: Courageous Liz Carmouche open about sexual orientation]

Groundswell CEO Michael London told Yahoo! Sports on Tuesday that the process of developing a screenplay has just begun.

It is not, however, designed to be a biography of Lee, who died in 1973, or the definitive account of the fight.

"We're actually not trying to re-tell the story of Bruce Lee," London said. "I think that's a natural impression people might get. The idea, actually, is to take that battle, which has been so mysterious and so powerful and so interesting to so many, and tell the lead-up to that story, which is Wong Jack Man's arrival in San Francisco.

"We've created a back story. There is a lot people that know about why Wong Jack Man came to San Francisco, but we're trying to create a dramatically satisfying story about why he's there. So we're taking license. That's why we say it's going to be inspired by that fight and isn't a literal telling of it."

London said the writers -- Christopher Wilkinson and Stephen Rivele -- have the belief that Jack Man was trying to help Lee to become the best version of himself and was trying to teach Lee lessons.

    • (Getty)Matt Riddle scored a decision win over Che Mills at UFC on Fuel 7 this past weekend. It's his second straight win after a win over Chris Clements at UFC 149 was overturned because Riddle tested positive for marijuana metabolites. He was angry after the positive test because Riddle has a medical marijuana card from Nevada, where he lives.

Riddle mended fences with the UFC brass while in England for his fight, as well.

"I actually talked to [UFC VP of regulatory affairs] Marc Ratner this past weekend in London," Riddle said to MMA Junkie Radio. "I kind of apologized because you know, I can't use medical marijuana. They can use TRT, and I've kind of been like – I've been on the phone with Marc, and he's been like, 'There's nothing we can really do about it. You can't do it. The commissions don't respect your license.' I was kind of like, 'That sucks, bro,' and I was kind of mad at him, but it's not up to him. It's up to the other athletic commissions, and the UFC is doing the best they

    • Marquardt stepped into UFC 158. (Getty)When the UFC announced the mostly welterweight line-up for UFC 158, it was near the end of injury-2012. After so many big fights were affected by injury, the UFC wisely prepared in case one of their fighters had to pull out of his bout. It turned out to be a smart move, as Rory MacDonald had to pull out of his bout with Carlos Condit.

Now, Johny Hendricks, who was supposed to fight Jake Ellenberger at UFC 158, is stepping in to face Condit. Ellenberger also has his opponent set. Nate Marquardt saw an opportunity and tweeted:

He later corrected the date of the fight to March 16, but didn't change his sentiment. He still wanted the Ellenberger bout, and got his wish. Marquardt will face Ellenberger at UFC 158. The updated main card now includes the UFC welterweight champ, the former UFC interim champ, and the former Strikeforce champion.

Champion Georges St-Pierre vs. Nick Diaz
      Carlos Condit vs. Johny Hendricks
      Jake Ellenberger vs. Nate Marquardt
      Chris Camozzi vs. Nick Ring
      Colin Fletcher vs. Mike Ricci

Marquardt lost the Strikeforce welterweight belt in the promotion's final card. He dropped a decision to Tarec Saffiedine. This will be Marquardt's first fight with the UFC since he was cut from the promotion the day before a fight. Marquardt couldn't get clearance from the state commission to fight because of his high testosterone levels.

    • Perhaps James Te Huna is huge Will Smith fan. Maybe he is a sucker for 90s nostalgia. Or he could just be concerned with protecting the Earth from aliens. Whatever the reason, he pulled out "Men in Black" from the mothballs to use for an entrance to his fight with Ryan Jimmo at UFC on Fuel 7. Te Huna didn't just walk out to it, he and his cornermen dressed up in full MiB outfits and perfectly did the dance from the Will Smith video.

Will Smith brought Te Huna some luck, because he won a decision over Jimmo. Hopefully, "Parents Just Don't Understand" will show up at his next fight.

    • (Getty)Renan Barao held onto the UFC interim bantamweight championship belt with a fourth-round arm-triangle submission win over Michael McDonald at UFC on Fuel 7 over the weekend. At 30-1, Barao hasn't lost since 2005. He won the interim title with a win over Urijah Faber over the summer when an injury sidelined champion Dominick Cruz.

The UFC is hoping for Barao to fight Cruz this summer, as long as Cruz's leg is healed from surgeries on his knee.

In other main card fights, Cub Swanson took a decision win over Dustin Poirier, Jimi Manuwa won by TKO after Cyrille Diabbate's calf was injured, and Gunnar Nelson and James Te'Huna won decisions.

    • At MMA events, there is rarely anything to pay attention to besides the fight. It's not like an NBA game, where there are cheerleaders and mascot races and dance squads and staring at Derrick Rose's knee to will it towards healing. (Maybe that was just my last trip to an NBA game.) At fights, you watch fights, and maybe the big screen at bigger UFC or Bellator events.

The singularity of events means you really shouldn't miss a knockout. Even if you look down for a minute and miss the punch, you generally don't miss the fighter laying on the ground and medical staff tending to him. You don't miss it, unless you're this woman employed to be a ring card girl.

She just walks by the fighter on his back. It's really an incredible level of obliviousness. Thankfully, staff in the cage tells her the fight is over.

      Thanks, With Leather.

    • Barao and McDonald are co-presidents of the Cool Belt Club. (Getty)The UFC brings a title fight -- kinda -- to Fuel TV on Saturday night. Though Comcast and Fox's networks did reach a deal to bring Fuel to its subscribers, the channel won't yet be available for this weekend's bouts and the interesting card in England. No matter who tunes in, here are the intriguing questions around this weekend's bouts.

Is welterweight a better UFC fit for Jorge Santiago? Despite a long and successful career in Sengoku and Strikeforce, his last stint with the UFC didn't go so well. Santiago lost to Demian Maia and Brian Stann. After a first-round knockout in the Titan Fighting Championships, Santiago is back as a welterweight. He'll take on undefeated phenom Gunnar Nelson.

    • (Getty)Happy Valentine's Day, Cagereaders! In honor of the day, let's take a look at some reasons to love mixed martial arts.

Heavyweight division to love. Remember when the UFC heavyweight division was a joke? No longer. UFC 160 will feature a title bout between Cain Velasquez and Antonio Silva, and Junior dos Santos will fight Alistair Overeem.

So much MMA on television. MMA was once the province of pay-per-view and occasional specials on network and cable television. Now, with Bellator on Spike, the UFC on Fox's networks, and the World Series of Fighting on NBC Sports Network, a fight fan doesn't have to drop $55 a month to see any fighting at all.
