Former middleweight champion Anderson Silva has been cleared to resume MMA sparring and is training hard again, if the above video is any indication. In the video, Silva is training in Brazil at the Team Nogueira gym with his boxing coach.
Watch "The Spider" work body shots and his own footwork. For a man whose leg was shattered just six months ago, Silva looks spry.
Silva promises a child, on scout's honor, that he will fight again in 2015. He then offers some inspirational words for others.
"I'm coming soon...Quitting is taking an eternal defeat. And, in Team Nogueira, we never give up. Strength, honor and determination are fundamental. Here at Team Nogueira, we are a family - ready and determined to do what we have to do. Never give up and never surrender. We believe that we can, and that you can, too. Believe that you can."
Ok, we're kinda psyched now to see Silva return. Don't get us wrong, we don't see a need to have him fight the Chris Weidman's of the world, anylonger.
Perhaps a super fight with Nick Diaz could strike the right balance. What do you think?
