Thanks to the magic of smart phones, the crowd at Citizens Bank Park were able to summon a patriotic cry during the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets game, even before an official announcement of Osama bin Laden's death was made at the ballpark. A very cool moment from over 43,000 of our fellow baseball fans.
Mets slugger David Wright, via the Twitter feed of Newark Star-Ledger Mets reporter Andy McCullough, gave his appreciation to Philly fans:
"I don't like to give Philadelphia fans too much credit. But they got this one right."
