WARNING: Video contains profanity. Thanks to several citizen-journalists at Progressive Field, we are all witnesses to a smart-alecky young man wearing a LeBron James' No. 6 Miami Heat jersey just begging for trouble during the New York Yankees-Cleveland Indians game.
For a few minutes during the sixth inning Wednesday night, A-Rod's chase of 600 home runs (along with the home team's wonderful season) took a back seat to a n'er-do-well siphoning some attention — which this blog is happy to give him!
As perhaps you recall, LeBron is no longer so well-liked in Ohio, now that he's no longer a member of the Cavaliers after signing a free-agent contract to be with Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Pat Riley down in sunny F-L-A.
Not so sunny, the mood in the bleachers as the troublemaker taunts and is taunted back by angry, but also bemused, fans. Before it gets too ugly, security comes to take the guy — watching the game with a female companion, who's wearing a Grady Sizemore(notes) girlie jersey — out of harm's way. She's obviously not happy with her fella, either.
Hey, would a Minuteman wear a Benedict Arnold wig to the Boston Tea Party?
There's a photo and more video below, but a head's up: All of the video contains profanity.
Also, young man: Your pants are ripped and your cap is askew. Signed, old man.
• Another angle shot annoyingly sideways for some reason.
• A semi-coherent and kind of scary take from under the grandstand. It's Blair Witchy.
• Along shot of security apparently leading the couple out of the stadium, fans taunting "LeBron" all the way.
Ah, you can't beat fun at the old ballpark.
