Editor's note: Our MLB Toasts got derailed during the stretch run and postseason, but we're back to say goodbye to the rest of the league. Follow @BigLeagueStew on Twitter and await our call for submissions for more toasts. Next up, the Detroit Tigers.

Things didn't finish the way the Detroit Tigers and their fans hoped in 2013. Then again, only one team really gets that honor. And the Tigers gave that team, the Boston Red Sox, quite a scare in the ALCS.

As the Tigers feverishly prepare to move into 2014 — they've already been busy, trading Prince Fielder for Ian Kinsler and putting together a new coaching staff — let's give the Tigers a toast.

To the Tigers, because Miguel Cabrera is all yours. Hug him. He needs it right now. To the Tigers, at least things won't be so smokey next season. To the Tigers, please give us many more years of Jose Iglesias defense porn. To the Tigers for having the best choreographed victory celebration in baseball. To Torii Hunter, whose upside-down legs and over-the-wall effort we'll always remember.

We're not going to bogart this toast. Here's what a couple people had to say about the 2013 Tigers. Add your own toast in the comments.

ALREADY: Houston Astros, Miami Marlins, Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox, Milwaukee Brewers, San Francisco Giants, New York Mets, Colorado Rockies, Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres, Minnesota Twins, Seattle Mariners, Toronto Blue Jays, Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Angels, Washington Nationals, Los Angeles Dodgers, Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, Tampa Bay Rays, Cleveland Indians Pittsburgh Pirates, Kansas City Royals, Cincinnati Reds, Oakland Athletics, Texas Rangers.

UP NEXT: Got a toast for a team we haven't featured yet? Send it to @BigLeagueStew on Twitter and watch the #MLBToasts hashtag. Still coming: Braves and Red Sox.
