A toast to the 2013 Cincinnati Reds

Editor's note: Our MLB Toasts got derailed during the stretch run and postseason, but we're back to say goodbye to the rest of the league. Follow @BigLeagueStew on Twitter and await our call for submissions for more toasts. Next up, the Cincinnati Reds.

For the Cincinnati Reds, 2013 wasn't enough. Yes, they made the postseason, but that wasn't enough to keep Dusty Baker's job or to not know the feeling of a disappointment. Bounced from the playoffs early, again. Cincinnati, y'all need a drink.

A toast to the Reds, for giving us one of the best feel-good stories of the year, playoff finishes be damned. To the Reds, for motivating a weatherman to go headless. TV news people don't bust out gimmicks for just anybody, ya know? (OK, they kind of do, but we were trying to be nice).

To the Reds, for keeping their fans full of free pizza. To the Reds, for selling a bloody baseball — because dang it, this is 2013 and we'll sell anything. To the Reds, because Billy Hamilton sure was fun to watch. And to the Reds, here's hoping the "Cue-to" chant doesn't haunt your dreams.

We're not going to bogart this toast. Here's what a few people had to say about the 2013 Reds. Add your own toast in the comments.

ALREADY: Houston Astros, Miami Marlins, Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox, Milwaukee Brewers, San Francisco Giants, New York Mets, Colorado Rockies, Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres, Minnesota Twins, Seattle Mariners, Toronto Blue Jays, Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Angels, Washington Nationals, Los Angeles Dodgers, Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, Tampa Bay Rays, Cleveland Indians Pittsburgh Pirates, Kansas City Royals.

UP NEXT: Got a toast for a team we haven't featured yet? Send it to @BigLeagueStew on Twitter and watch the #MLBToasts hashtag. Still coming: A's, Rangers, Tigers, Braves and Red Sox.
