I had planned on doing a picture post of all the celebrities at Sunday night's Dodgers-Phillies game, but the photogs in attendance couldn't seem to turn their lenses away from the batter's circle box of Dodgers owner Frank McCourt, where SoCal native Tiger Woods was watching the game. Seriously, if you look, there may actually be more pictures of Tiger Woods wearing a blue L.A. cap on the wires right now than Manny Ramirez himself. The rest of the pickings are proverbially slim.
Then again, the photographers might not have had many options. According to one report, stars that were spotted at Dodger Stadium included Henry Winkler, Jon Lovitz, Ryan Seacrest and Matt Dillon. All talented and great entertainers, sure, but not an A-lister in the bunch.
Perhaps the Brad Pitts and Jack Nicholsons of the world are waiting for the World Series?
If you TiVoed the game, however, go back and try to find both Pat Sajak and Mary Hart in the crowd. Both were visible throughout the game and, as I think someone may have noted, both were extremely popular the last time the Dodgers were in the NLCS. Hart read the Dodgers lineup for Fox.
Oh, and speaking of stars whose popularity crested in 1988, look below to find a picture of another former star who read the Phillies lineup while explaining he was a Dodgers fan.
