The Marlins mascot appearing in Star Wars scenes is as funny as it sounds

George Lucas has received plenty of deserved flack in recent years for going back into his first trio of Star Wars films and adding things that weren't there in the first place.

Frankly, we like the alterations made by the Miami Marlins a lot better:

The Marlins plan to hold their own Star Wars Night on September 6, giving away a Jedi Billy Marlin bobblehead in the process. Billy's one of the more underrated baseball mascots out there and his Sinbad-inspired wardrobe is always guaranteed to elicit a few chuckles from the Stew crew.

What's really crazy is that Billy Marlin wouldn't look THAT out of place in the second set of Star Wars movies. Considering that are the chances he can completely replace Jar Jar when Lucas gets around to remastering those flicks?
