It was quite a night for Dodger baseball on Monday. The Dodgers showed the world their prized prospect Yasiel Puig — he impressed and they won in exciting fashion. For a Dodger team that's been struggling most of the season, this was a nice moment, even if it was just one night.
But Dodger baseball still stunk on Monday. That's not a metaphor. There was a skunk on the loose at Dodger Stadium.
No joke. There's a skunk in our section at the @dodgers game! twitter.com/LordBobbyConne…

Something stinks at Dodger Stadium. And, for once, it's not the Dodgers. #skunk #lepew @ Dodger Stadium instagram.com/p/aHyFRLObC4/ — Dylan John Seaton (@JohnDylanger) June 4, 2013
We saw a skunk wander onto the field in a minor league game last week. And now this. If a skunk saunters through the field during an MLB game next week, we'll know for sure the skunks are planning an uprising to take over baseball.
Baseball will need a hero to defend it from the skunks. And we all know who he is: Luke Scott.
